Traditionally in India, women do not have equal access to health, as men.
28 May is therefore observed as Women’s Health Day , to draw attention to this disparity and create awareness of the need to focus on healthcare needs of women. Several studies have proved that women receive poorer nutrition, hygiene, medical care than their male counterparts.
